How to get to Freiburg

Basel EuroAirport
 

Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg EuroAirport lies just inside Switzerland’s borders with France and Germany. In fact, EuroAirport is
on French soil, connected to Switzerland by a customs road, and is shared with Mulhouse (France) and Freiburg (Germany). Getting from the EuroAirport to Freiburg itself takes less than an hour.
EasyJet provide most of the incoming flights to the Euroairport - flying regular services to Liverpool, Luton, Nice,
Barcelona, amongst others.
The Airport Bus is in front of the airport building (arrival level), runs almost hourly.

The Airport Bus shuttle (http://www.freiburger-reisedienst.de/) service takes approximately 50 minutes from the
EuroAirport to Freiburg. All busses leave at the French Side of the EuroAirport and arrive at the Train Station in Freibug. A return ticket costs 33,00 €.

 Frankfurt Airport railway station

The long-distance railway station is at the AIRail Terminal, right next to Terminal 1. Trains arrive at and depart
from platforms 4 to 7. A train ride to Freiburg takes approximately 2 hours. You can book your tickets online
on http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en/index.shtml
Trains leave almost every hour to Freiburg. A single ticket costs 59,00 €.

 

Getting around in Freiburg

 

Almost everything (restaurants, cafes, university, shops, hotel) in Freiburg is in walking distance. The public
transport system in Freiburg is also very supportive with trams and buses running almost 24 hours.
